Look, the only thing I like about existentialism is that it allows freedom from dogma. Other than that I just see it as sort to a state of understanding. Nothing more. I am very cynical about the human species in general. Even the great minds showed to me great defects. Voltair was a slum landlord. I think we are all a bunch of schmucks. Me included. So given that I believe we are all sort of nuts and that we all have a dark side I think the human condition probably will not allow us to survive much longer as a species. We will probably blow ourselves up pretty soon The Iran, Israel conflict could well cause it. The right wing these days is really showing us what the human species is really about. Yelling and screaming crazy stuff. So given what I believe, I have two primary beliefs: 1) democracy is the best political system for a society 2) kindness is the best behavior for the individual Beyond that, I claim to not know much, or believe much. And I am more a Bill Moyers type of guy than Ayn Rand. But I am wedded to no one. I just like Moyers because I read him as a kind and honest man.
