Those were the days weren't they? Most of us were still in apartments in 1963, had made them look like we were at home in them, no one had lots of money, so most of us saved some, and cut expenses as much as possible...We played poker with friends sometimes for pennies if we were feeling rich, or monopoly, or scrabble....had cheese and crackers or other fairly nice but fairly inexpensive treat....Didn't have to go to movies every minute, etc etc....They were busy days and rewarding at the same time. I've always thought that American lives changed after JFK was killed, others were killed, riots in LA and other cities, and etc....they were very tough on our age people because it was beyond our comprehension that there were such awful things that were caused by people totally out of control.
