The order includes Comtech EF Data's SLM-5650A Satellite Modems and redundancy switches. The SLM-5650A Satellite Modem is compliant with the strict requirements defined in MIL-STD-188-165A, modem types I, II, IV, V and VI for applications on the Defense Satellite Communications System, Wideband Global SATCOM system, and commercial satellites. The SLM-5650A Satellite Modem features performance and bandwidth savings technologies, including advanced forward error correction and modulation capabilities, DoubleTalk(R) Carrier-in-Carrier(R) bandwidth compression, and integration with Comtech's fully automated network and capacity management, Vipersat Management System. |
