Thank you and I think so too.
I think after I have my regular two year colonoscopy this month, I will breath a little more easily. I just dread the preparation for it, but if the results remain good, it is worth drinking that nasty lime tasting water. Thinking I should call my doctor and ask if I could put a jigger or two or MORE of vodka in that gallon bottle this time, as it would surely be easier to down quicker and make me think I am celebrating something else more pleasant. <gg> I rather doubt he would agree, but could ask and he would probably look at me with shock on his face. My favorite drink in the casino is kahlua and cream and it keeps me civil and obedient without affecting my brain...
Have not been to a casino for a couple of months, but saving up to take one granddaughter who turns 21 on November 21st and has asked that I take her over to Louisiana for her first gambling trip as her birthday present. Her Mother is my best gambling buddy so she has heard our stories of much fun to do so. She also requested that we go in a limousine for the trip and we have a friend who owns a service, so think I will be able to grant her request. Just hoping now I can win enough to pay for trip when we go. L'Auberge is about two hours and fifteen minutes from our front door and is just like going to a Las Vegas casino, except not as far to travel. From where we live in Texas about a four and a half flight to LV.> It is a beautiful hotel with lots of amenities for players. They advertise on billboards going over they pay out seven million dollars a day and I have been very lucky there most times especially in 2007 and 2008. They also have a great golf course and a beautiful swimming pool area as well as all kinds of shops to spend your money in....
Congratulations on celebrating your 30th wedding anniversary!!! I am one to believe the really good times are ahead of you in the future. I, too, always look forward to getting away for a few days. We are almost thirty years ahead of you and hoping to have a blast on our 60th next June. Had a good one on our 40th just in case we didn't make it to 50 <gg>, so observed a much quieter one on our 50th and will be ready to really celebrate this next one, the good Lord willing to let me continue my survival until past then, even maybe to the 65th one. |
