Spelling errors are all over the place now, as opposed to twenty or even ten years ago.

Even in government documents, SEC filings, and resumes.

People get used to spell checking.

This reduces ability to spot spelling errors.

Spell checks will often produce the wrong word, and we all see that more often.

I now try to evaluate documents by how well they are informed of the outside real world, and I rely much less on internal consistency and style.

English can be a difficult language.
