we watched a nat geo documentary about a family of polar bears (mama and two cubs, one died) and seals (mama, baby, and aunt) and my daughter was greatly saddened when one of the bear cub was left behind by mama and brother bear due to its weakened condition after a very long wait, and was further saddened when brother bear grew to point to be pushed away by mama bear.
she asked, "dada, will you be leaving soon?" and was happily playing once assured that yes, but long long time from now.
kids are great, every minute, even when difficult. little paul tells me my erita's name is erita gildemeister :0) my comment was, "so, paul, what will you be when you grow up?"
