Thanks! Dogs are really truly remarkable creatures. I knew CZ would be affected by this, but boy, today, he truly was...

I relayed to some friends this event today:

CZ had a nice afternoon here with us, and then wanted to go out again......This time, he RACED up to the fence, went to HER two peepholes in the fence, and then RACED to the left to the end of the fence where she spent time (and is buried there)...Hubby had to go up and get him and as CZ was coming down to the house, all of a sudden RACED as fast as his little legs could go to the other side of the yard, to see if the gate was open....Luckily not --the yard guys were here today and it scared both of us to death, because they don't always remember....So CZ chased around up by the gazebo, all over the deck, and finally in the house. I've NEVER seen him do that before....

We've experienced deaths of our pets before, but never before two little guys who spent all of their time together, or both of them with us.

It's strange...I've been debating with myself today if I should toss in the laundry their big bears they sleep on, her bed (well, they both argued over it, but usually it was hers)... That way her smell should diminish somewhat, and maybe he wouldn't miss her so much...but then again, maybe I shouldn't do that for a week or so.... I'll have to do some reading to see...
