I saw the most bizarre meme posted on a right wing thread: " Doesn't Woody Allen have a little history of his own? I have a hard time getting too excited about Letterman in the sense that that was consenting adults stuff. (Although I admit to enjoy watching that snide hypocrite squirm.) Unbelievable that world wide liberals are defending the rapist of a 13 year old." Anyone know what this is about? Aside from the idiot Whoopi "it wasn't rape rape"- I mean what's that about? You touch a 13 year old you should be in prison for life, imo. I don't want drug criminals in jail- I want guys who molest young girls in prison. But since when does Whoopi speak for "liberals world wide" and WHO is defending this guy aside from show biz types who think his art is a defense to a crime (and I don't know ANY liberals personally who think that, and I know a lot of liberals.) Now there are liberals on this thread besides me, anyone, anyone, want to defend Polanski? Anyone know anyone who would defend him? I realize there are countries- like India- where little 13 year old girls can be married off and raped legally, but the US is not one of those places, and anyone who does something like that here deserves a lifelong stay in a prison cell where he can't get any more children. I have no idea where someone would get the idea liberals think that the people who violate children should not be punished. That's just so weird. Who are all the social service people who STOP pedophiles? They are often liberals. Who are the teachers who are legally charged to look for evidence of abuse in children and who report it? Again, frequently liberal teachers. How does the right wing come up with these bizarro ideas that one stupid liberal shooting her mouth off represents all liberals? I never think the moronic Beck represents all convervatives. Or that Rush, pain killer, Limbaugh represents the lawlessness and hypocrisy of all republicans when it comes to drugs.
