David, This information was on the NASDAQ website today. It ties into your message #625 and Mark Calder's message #628. "British Aerospace took a major step toward toward a take over of Siemens AG's defense electronics business. The move fuels speculation that BA will eventually merge with or takeover compatriot General Electric Co. Plc's core Marconi defense electronics systems business. British Aerospace said it will use Siemens to create a new defense division to broaden its capabilities as a prime contractor, supplying complete weapon systems on land, sea and air. The Siemens operation specializes in battle command and control and communications, and advanced land and naval air defense radar systems." One could get the impression that British Aerospace may badly need the VRD to remain competitive against the US defense companies, such as Boeing etc. All of which bodes well for MVIS in this win-win situation.
