It amazes me sometimes to see how two people such as you and I can view the same events and live through the same history with totally opposite perceptions.
any "vile democratic protesters" were always out on the streets somewhere and NOBODY really paid attention to them.
I remember many occasions where TV news spots would cover small demonstrations by some wild-eyed liberal group, and carefully edit the video to make the crowd look larger than it actually was. One instance I recall, the video showed only feet to make the dozen or so people look like a larger group.
...this "coordinated attack" stuff at townhall meetings with the INTENT to put it on youtube that has gotten all the press and deservedly so. All this stuff was PLANNED to get attention ...
"PLANNED" and "coordinated" by whom? The people making noise at the town halls are regular people, not members of some nefarious organization like the ACORN and SEIU people are. Perhaps it's because liberals HAVE to pay their "grass roots" demonstrators that you and some others simply can't understand the passion of true Americans who spontaneously come together when they see their country coming apart at the seams. I'll grant you that the airing of a couple of the bellicose disruptions on the nightly news did, in fact, prompt many more such disruptions. Notwithstanding, those disruptions are, for the most part, honestly held opinions by people who would never have considered themselves capable of such activities. I defy you to identify any individual or group who "planned and coordinated" all those protesters. A few of them, maybe. Most, the overwhelming majority of them, were there to voice their own opinions, not someone else's talking points as seen with various liberal gatherings.
f a democrat had yelled out "You lie" when Bush talked about uranium from Niger you can BET it would have gotten a LOT of press.
Yep, and there would have been no contrite apology from the Dem. Rather, he would have become a cause celeb in the Congress and the media, like the Iraqi shoe thrower. When Dems do outrageous and insulting things, the whole group bands around them, like muskoxen protecting their young.
I can't tell you how grateful I am for Fox News, the only, if feeble, counterpoint to the rest of the news media. |
