I am not an Islamic sympathizer. At this point in time I believe Iran wants nuclear powered electricity. They are smart enough to know that once their oil is gone we will leave them on the ash heap of history.

Considering that we tried to wipe them out by backing Saddam against them, it wouldn't surprise me if they wanted nuclear weapons. It's likely the only threat that will keep us from once again trying to destroy their country.
