Today the Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to three pioneers in fiber optics. npr.org In May 2007 when David Eaton joined LWLG (fka TDON) he stated: "I have been an observer and participant in the field of polymer photonics for over two decades, and I think that Third-Order's approach is a major breakthrough. Decades of research and billions of dollars have been spent by many groups, to no avail. I believe Third-Order will be the first to demonstrate a viable non-linear optical polymer system. This is the kind of science that wins Nobel Prizes - and the kind of technology that will benefit us all." I am looking forward to the day when the Goetz(s) and collaborators are honored with a Nobel Prize. That moment will be a culmination of years and years of dedication and hard work. GATES. Hopefully, we will have some very big news of our own either today or tomorrow!
