I believe they call it "rock fever." It afflicts a lot of people from the mainland who move there. Something about not being able to go more than 30 or so miles in any direction before having to turn around.

They seem pretty certain about the move. At least they claim they are not leaving once they get there. Given the cost and the effort I can't blame them. Moving much of the contents of a 4400 square foot house, two cars and 4 dogs isn't an easy undertaking. They own 5 acres on the Kona Coast and will build once they sell the house in Golden and another house in Silverthorne.
