Probably not. But it was education that pulled us out of the dark ages and it has been education that has allowed for civilzation, democracy etc. So educstion is the ONLY hope, but I feel the human speiecs will not make it through this century without a major nuclear war. Peopel cannot seem to shake of primitive dogma learned at home. We are just operating intellectually in to unsophisticated a manner. E.g. take someone like glenn Beck or Palin. They makes no sense at all yet many people love them---for emotional reasons. Peopel see them as standing up for their life style, but their facts and logic are just pure nonsense. It is important to recognize nonsense but most cannot do it? << Sorry for taking so long to respond. I had a chance to go fly fishing in the Rockies and I just got back. "The human species, by nature, is an irrational species." "The ONLY chance we have to survive as a species is massive education." Do you really expect to successfully use reason to change people who are by nature, irrational? I would attempt (using reason) to explain to you why this would be fruitless, but that would be, (granting your first premise) well... fruitless.
