I think you are missing my point a bit. I was just pointing out that the two statements that you made were incompatible and that logically, they cannot both be correct.

I also made the observation that Humanities real problem is not a lack of education or irrationality but that we are by nature, evil. (Care to comment on that?) That is not to say that we can not use reason and education, as much to say that, you can't change the nature of the Sun by learning about it, or through reasoning with it.

I don't know why you are bringing Beck or Palin into the discussion for? I have heard reasonable and unreasonable statements from both of them but then I could say the same about you. Are you saying that every single point they make is unreasonable and that every single fact they point to is wrong? That sounds just a wee bit over the top.
