Congratulations to your friend. About time for the Noble people to notice - they waited a long time for the integrated circuit, so that only Jack Kilby was still alive, Bob Noyce having been long gone.

By the way, the South China Morning Post has the mention of the prize "below the fold" on their website - why is it not at the top ? He was vice chancellor of Hong Kong University.
