That was my original point. We have an overwhelming advantage in armament over every country. No need to pick useless fights in the the ME with 3rd world countries... Actually, the inability to quickly conquer iraq and Afghanistan is debilitating our status, not increasing it. Picking fights you can win makes a lot more sense.
