No Jeff I'm not playing options. What I'm doing is very safe and no time period. I just sold the same amount of shares I owned at a higher price. It's really like selling a stock but instead I have the same amount shorted as long. That locks me in no matter what the stock does. I do it because if I sell I end up losing interest to follow the stock and will probably never buy it back. This way I can think it out and make a decision when I feel confident what to do. Sometimes when the market changes quickly it's hard to be rational. But when you don't lose any money you feel protected. That's all I'm doing. The next step is to decide what to do next. I have 3 options, to buy back the short and ride long again, sell both and lock in the profit I had, or sell the long and ride the shorted shares. Once i get out of one position then I'm back to either making or losing money.
