Perhaps Shalom answered this already, but: of course you can bet your own soul. And when a person bets his soul, the stakes are in proportion to the bet. As someone was fond of saying, "You bet your life."
A person bets his/her life, for example, by doing something like playing Russian roulette.
The soul is you, your essence, which for the time being inhabits your body.
A person bets his soul by believing in Jesus (that he was speaking the truth about offering us eternal life) or rejecting Jesus (and thereby betting that there is no life beyond this existence).
Place your bet on the the truth or falsehood of the words of Jesus: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (Jn14:6)
