The criticism of Obama in this instance is the fact that he went when it wasn't in the bag and at a time when he was f'ing around about truly important things. (and still is) The CEO doesn't show up until it's a done deal, unless he wants to look stupid. Obama never heard of such a thing. He actually thinks people listen to him and will do what he wants. That is because he actually believes the BS published about him by the fawning MSM. Besides, after tearing down the country in the name of self-aggrandizement for some 9 months, why would he think the IOC would honor any American city with the Olympics? It's a real shame we have an empty suit in the top job. I had hoped he might rally, but it will never happen.
