Ron,

I wish to echo your sentiments. I posted this same note on the CREAF Thread about a week ago.

Remember- For the US business with Asia makes up a "thunderous" 2% of our GNP- yup that's right 2%. Now tech companies may have much higher totals (maybe 5-10%), but it's still small. In fact for companies that have plants located in Asia the currency devaluations are a good thing! The cost of production drops- so watch profits of boxmakers rise (and retailers too FWIW) for e.g.

Also you seem to forget the continents of Europe and Latin America. Business in Europe is just picking up. And business in Latin America is booming.... Even some economies in Africa are picking up. For e.g., Uganda now has a 6.5% GNP growth rate under the leadership of the very wise and capable Yoweri Museveni. Now I'm not saying that the Ugandans are going to buy lots of computer products- but the French will, and the Columbians will, etc. So the tech stocks will not be brought down by the Asian flu.....

Sincerely,

Doug F.
