Cluka - It sounds silly BUT:

1.) just like NVLS LRCX presented a financial EPS model during Semicon West 2009 based n various scenarios ("what happens if...")
NVLS is gunning for $2; this particular analyst just recently raised NVLS EPS to $1.65 which seems to be high relative what is published but it appears to me that this analyst is adopting NVLS model.
From what I recall LRCX gave a range of $2.37 to $4 depending on how the cycle would play out.
Of course we can not predict the future but we can predict to a certain degree what NVLS and LRCX could earn in case a certain scenario materializes.
Of course they need to execute accordingly.
2.) The AMAT guy was axed for a reason - AMAT was and is desperate in regaining ground in etch.
AMAT was notorious for bundling products and undercutting certain competitors by bundling - AMAT can not play this card the way they used to.
3.)
SEZ clean business will become a meaningful contributor to Lam's top ad bottom line - that clean business is an extremely fast growing sub/niche segment.
I understand many etch steps require a pre or post clean step
