Louis (and Daryl, too): Thanks for your insights. Followup comment and question: When my distant vision was ok, my reading vision was fine also. When I wore contacts, they corrected the distance just fine and I could still see perfectly well up close. I am 51 but my close up vision remains excellent. QUESTION: If I laser-correct to 20/20, will it automatically mess up my reading vision? Is there anyway to know before the procedure? I would be disappointed if my distant vision was corrected but then I would have to wear glasses to read! Maybe that will happen as I age, anyway, but I don't want to bring it on prematurely! Appreciate your advice.
