10/9/09 update
Two weeks of vacation was all the Bulls needed to regain their strength. And, at Friday's close, the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 36.12% CYTD, or Contest Year To Date, (vs. up 30.32% CYTD a week ago). Biotechs were also higher for the week, with the Nasdaq Biotech Index up 15.28% CYTD (vs. up 13.58% CYTD a week ago), while the Contest median closed up 20.83% CYTD (vs. up 16.86% CYTD a week ago).
GENE's portfolio had an especially good week, solidifying its second place standing ahead of third place NIGEL's portfolio. RKRW's portfolio remained in first place with a substantial lead. The week's closing CYTD percentages are: RKRW up 129.39%, GENE up 88.87%, NIGEL up 75.87%.
At Friday's close, 25 of the 32 Contest portfolios were in the black and 18 of the 32 were beating the NBI.
