Hi Christine, I don't have an update on the ex-maids internet romance yet, but I have a new one. One of my son's best friend's mother got divorced and moved to England to live with her internet lover. I will try to get an update on that one.

Gigging flounder is walking in water about knee-deep at night with an underwater light and sticking those suckers with a gig, which is usually 2 prongs on a pole. I haven't gotten any this year yet because it's been too warm yet to get them migrating. They go out to the Gulf to lay their eggs with cold fronts in the fall. The biggest ones are the females, and get up to 14 lbs, while the males stop at about 2 lbs. For some reason the amount of flounder is only about 10% of what it was 10 years ago, and that is when netting became illegal. There was a huge amount taken by nets in the past with no apparent effect on the population, and then netting stopped along with a daily bag limit of 10 fish now compared to 50 in the past, and the population dropped dramatically. Go figure.

Hey, have you ever had meatless patties called Gardenburgers? There is a company called Gardenburger GBUR, formerly Wholesome and Hearty Foods WHFI, who specializes in vegetarian foods. They are from Portland. I figure that you could find their products a lot easier in SF than I can in Texas. They are all carnivores here.

I have never raised chickens yet, but wouldn't be totally against it if they were free roaming in a fenced-in yard.
