Jennings said he was 15 and clearly thought so. Though even if he'd been 16 his conversations about the kids weird sex life were inappropriate and Jennings apologized for it. Weird sex life? You have been sheltered. People have sex in every knook and cranny of this country; gays more so. Thank you for acknowledging the purpose of GSA organizations is to facilitate gay hookups. Its for gay kids to meet one another. Its the same with all service clubs........it gives kids with like minded interests to meet. Are you against service clubs now? When they're based on helping kids hook up sexually, yep. Not for the schools to do. Were you ever a teenager with hormones? Serious question. I am beginning to believe conservatives don't have hormones. As for Beck and Limbaugh, if you appointed Beck or Limbaugh, who have had drug problems, to a government drug policy organization or to a position where they had access to drugs they'd abused years ago - that would be inappropriate too. Homosexuality is not an addiction. Jennings isn't being criticized for being homosexual but for his judgment and education beliefs .... like wanting to "queer" elementary schools iow promote homosexuality to kids. He doesn't want to queer elementary schools. He wants them to dicuss homosexual relationships along side hetro relationships so there is not a taboo on homosexuality and people don't go to bathrooms looking for sex. What do you think drove Larry Craig to have sex in restrooms....because he likes the smell of piss while having sex? Why is it conservatives want to deny minorities their equal place in the sun? Hmmm....so any person who has a sexuality should not be allowed in education. People shouldn't promote kids having heterosex either. Not the schools business. Try to separate between sex and socializing. They are two different functions. Do you understand that your biases would not hold up in a court of law? Irrelevant, Jennings isn't in a court. We're talking about whether he should have his job. That's not even at question. You don't have the power to make that determination. He didn't go home with him. Yes he did and Jennings story confirms that. Sorry. That's not what Brewster has said....take it up with him. BTW what is your fascination with this stuff? Your concerns have been defused. Apparently, the 16 year old has grown up to be a capable gay man comfortable with his sexuality. There is no issue here. Jennings bad judgment and educational values are at issue. Only by your standards. The issue is this guy is going to make all our schools friendly to this kind of stuff. I don't want my grandkids exposed to it. What you fear exists in many schools today. Maybe not in TX but in many places in this country. It may be time to home school your grandkids. Thank you for confirming liberals view schools as value subversion institutions. They are places of learning for all people in this country.....not just those that conservatives deem acceptable. You understand.....that's always the problem with conservatives. They always find some minority to put down.
