.......the analysts are wondering if these stocks should be given cyclical p/e's (low) or consumer p/e's (higher). they are worried that there will be a dramatic decrease in the need to buy computers. because intel disappointed them they are worried now about dell and cpq.

.....imho now that cpq has entered the lower end market they may start to attract the 60% of the u.s. that does not have a pc while pressuring the unix guys by making heavy duty NT servers. this could give them very stable sales. also, don't forget that outisde the u.s they can really dominate with their awesome cost structure and manufacturing efficiencies.

....i also think that the pc will become a device like the tv and telephone and will be in 90% of the households within the next 5-10 years. again this is bullish for cpq.
