There is a scientific consensus about the reality of global warming.

There is scientific consensus that there has been a general trend of warming since the mid 1800s.

Where there is quite a bit of scientific debate is whether this warming is outside of any normal cyclical variation as well as much debate about the anthropogenic origin.

Within the US government agencies, whenever research that doesn't support the anthropogenic origins of the warming comes out, that agency has suppressed the research.

I personally don't consider that an objective way to address a scientific debate. though I guess it makes Gore's and Obama's assertion that "there is no debate" a truthful statement...but only because they suppressed it.
