First, no empty saber rattling.

Which, quite obviously, has no effect whatsoever on the situation.

We know how NK behaves, nothing they have done has surprised anyone but the extreme right.

Who on the extreme Right did it surprise? The day GWB walked in the door, there was a substantial contingent of people put to work on dealing with getting rid of AF because they knew damned well it was being violated. Where's the surprise?

Threatening does nothing but provoke more games.

If you believe DPRK's nuclear weapons development was "provoked" by the GWB administration you know far less about this subject than I thought. It was well underway during the Clinton years, and was in no way "provoked" by GWB.

What do you base this ABSURD claim on?

The only thing that works is negotiations and bribes.

How can you say this with a straight face? That's precisely what Clinton did which brought us to this place? And it is precisely what you've been BASHING GWB about -- continuing the policy of negotiations and bribes.

And even then, they only work until the current leadership wants something else. The brutal truth of the matter is that as long as they hold Seoul hostage, there aren't a lot of options.

Other than military, you're right. So WHY IN HELL do you continue to bash GWB over a subject on which you substantially agree with his policy and that of his predecessor?

This is just partisanship on your part. Agreed. Bush didn't do much about NK. Because short of going to war with them there was little that could be done.

Your argument is all over the place and fails to address the point. You bash GWB over his actions but can't suggest any alternative other than "doing what GWB did".
