I know most of those rules but still when it happens, thankfully happened only once in Ottawa, it takes some doing.. Luckily for me, there was hardly any traffic on the day it happened so did recover without any damage.. When I was in Ottawa, I would not even bother with snow or snow storm warning.. But freezing rain warning, I would be back home and wait for roads to be salted and clear before venturing out.. lol.. Common sense goes a long way to avoid misadventure.. Why tempt fate, if you don't have to..
