My comments were more aimed at Al Gore who has gone so far over the top that he has lost all credibility IMO. Recall that there was a storm in the Tampa area in the mid spring of the year after Katrina. He went down there and proclaimed that particular storm as proof positive of global warming and that we would have Katrina sized events every year henceforth. Brian Hunter believed him. Remember also that Gore said we could wean ourselves completely off coal by 2015. He tells people what they want to hear. Makes PT Barnum look like an amateur. Global temps might be rising. Polar ice is shrinking in some areas and increasing in others. I don't buy into the CO2 linkage, although I would never contest the notion that CO2 is way up. Matt Drudge (I know I weaken my credibility by just citing him) makes sport out of citing anti-global warming news pieces. record cold here - early snow there, etc. It just so happens that he was having a field day this AM: BBC: What happened to global warming? US CHILL MAP... Montana cold breaks records... Record Cold temps in Idaho threaten potato crops... Austria: Earliest snowfall in history set to break records... Man has microphone cut off after asking about 'errors' in Gore film... Video... Soros says aims to invest $1 Billion in green tech...
