Before I retired, I was outside every day calling on my clients. I typically spent up to 3 hours each day on the road, no matter what the weather. It wasn't unusual for me to drive 70 or 80 miles a day. In some 30+ years in the Denver area I got one speeding ticket (1972) and had one wreck. That was a drunk who ran a stop sign and I T-boned him in the intersection. Broke my wrist as it went into the steering wheel, and totaled both cars. All that on dry pavement and about 30 mph. A few times I put on chains and made my calls. Weather never stopped me. Today, I don't go out in that kind of weather for ANY reason. Lord, I love retirement!!!
