Don't you think that the highly (much to much so most likely) publisized cases involving teaching creationism has much to do with the slant you sight?

Seems to me that most 'anti-religious' things you see are really talking about "creationists"... folks rejecting basic scientific observations like age of the earth, evolution (any speciation), in favor of biblical stories.

5 out of 6 biologists I work with go to church... they would be included in your study (in fact when I grew up EVERY PERSON I knew went to church) and would be more "highly educated"... yet when you're talking evolution many 'religious' people would point to the ignorant "RELIGIOUS" people.

JMO

Think there is lots of apples and oranges there.
