When the Pilgrims landed and set up their homes in that area they wrote letters home describing the incredible hoards of cod in the ocean off shore. Millions and millions of fish just waiting there to be caught, and modern fishermen say dogfish are ruining the stocks of cod and other fish. All I can say is LOL! They didn't name it Cape Cod for nothing.
