A little nugget mentioned in the release was the benefit of optical computing in DNA sequencing. This by itself may be a MULTI-BILLION dollar market. But take that one logical step further, the holy grail of the healthcare field (beyond genomics)is proteomics. And the holy grail of proteomics is to find patterns of protein signatures that could identify the early changes associated many diseases.
