Because they would have used it to defend themselves.

You're so used to AMD's crybaby antics of badmouthing in the press that you think that's the way companies should behave. You don't know adult behavior when you see it.

Uhh, Intel declined to defend themselves within "the process", and did so instead in "the court of public opinion" via statements to the press.

AMD's statements have the weight of the EC decision behind them.

And you personally have exceeded both combined in the crybaby dept.
