Well lets call a spade a spade.CLL has a policy of diversified production, conv production nat gas oil sand and refining. So far this policy has failed shareholders, and looks like nothing is going to change any time soon. The company wanted to go with this idea as a way of fending off a buyer. But the result is no one likes the stock and it can't get no traction even with oil rising and the stronger markets in general.

The very policy is not working, no share price gain even though the company is in rapid expansion of production.I have pointed out to management that increasing the share price should be a top priority to fend off an unwanted take over. But they don't seem to get that. The company on all other counts is very well run.But failing to do enough promotion to get the share price up in this bull market is going to cost the shareholders a lot of lost gain. Its only a matter of time before a major oil company wanting an oil sand operation sees CLL as a wounded duck and makes a low ball hostile. Then the management will do summer salts to increase shareholder awareness and gripe the offer too low.By then it will be too little too late.
I have seen this happen too many times before.

A depressed share price serves no one other than the buyers shareholders.I hope CLL will get a promotions officer soon. But I have my doubts.Class actions have a way of showing up in these cases.

Bottom line CLL is not delivering any gains for the past 4 or 5 yrs.Its not the problem in the markets that some may blame it on.Look at PBG. They promote even if its only and idea and not a fact.CLL needs promotion, they have promotable goods, but getting them to promote is like trying to sell a deaf man Sinatra records. Its very sad such a good story is not getting told. But on the bright side if oil goes up another $10 like in the past week CLL may gain a penny? If it gains another penny I will be dancing in the streets.

CLL SCORE CARD

Production on time A

Building low cost on budget A

Minding the store A

Over all company management A

Promotion F

Conclusion: If they can't fix the F on promotion, the rest won't matter.
