Darin, you make some good points.....INTC now has enough capacity to meet Q4 and Q1 demand....so time will tell if demand is really there. The spot prices for P200 is because people have not bought into the PII hype even with those cool colored outfits and that slick van. This is the first time they have had enough capacity.....do you think that their cap spending next year may be flat??

I was wrong regarding DRAM demand....Demand is increasing....but capacity and production is growing even faster...."I have 16-Mbit parts that sell for $3.85, but there's are no buyers out there,'' lamented the broker said. ''Everybody is a loser in the DRAM market right now. The more products vendors make, the more money they
lose."....Upgrading will only make things worse and postpone the semi-cap slowdown.
