This pretty much explains the lagging, the dollar weakness eats into miners profits. Most of them are not in the US, and commodity currencies enjoyed spectacular rallies this year. More so than gold itself. That said, gold has its own 9-year cycle, and RSA miners seem to lead, the first bull move. csmonitor.com We are going into a manic cycle in gold, IMHO.
