Amazingly, 300,000 megawatts of wind projects are awaiting access to the grid, which is the equivalent of roughly 300 coal plants.

The best wind turbine operating at peak gives about 2.4MW. So they are saying that there are 125,000 wind turbines awaiting access to the grid?

In 2008 the US generated 25,000MW of power using windpower. I have a hard time believing that there is 12 times the amount of wind generators that are awaiting access to the grid.

(no, I'm not asking you to defend the article)
