Here are things heard on the street. I can't vouch for their truth but merely pass them along.

Sprint let a contract for Nortel to rebuild what Lucent put into Boston, pulling out a lot of Lucent-buillt equipment.

NextWave has closed offices, including Dallas, and has not maintained sufficient U.S. ownership to meet legal requirements.

Motorola "gave away" the infrastructure to PrimeCo in its latest contracts. (Further evidence Motorola is underbidding to gain market share.)

Sprint is putting enormous effort into building out infrastructure in Mexico, quickly.

Nortel will soon (next year) not be purchasing infrastructure from Qualcomm but manufacturing it itself.

By the year 2000 CDMA equipment is predicted to be able to reach 32Xanalog.

Any news you have heard regarding any of the foregoing would be welcome.
