Fred, thanks for your remarks. I do feel that my recent optimistic commentary, which some may classify as a lot of hype (and that's OK too), has a solid foundation:
1. The technology is proven. Lab samples have met or exceeded specifications for at least a year or more.
2. Although the company has not released much official information, a number of people who've communicated with company sources have stated that line 2, at least, is producing cells that have demonstrated charge/discharge cycles in excess of requirements, even if at less than maximum design speed.
And that is the bottom line - can Valence produce good batteries in volume? Unless we believe these reports to be mere fabrication, and of course they have not been officially verified by the company at this point, then we're on our way! Some unforseen catastrophic event could take place, but we take that risk very day driving to work.
At this point I have more than doubled my original goal in terms of my position, and will be able to add several thousand more shares in about two weeks if the price stays within reason, so I'm thoroughly worried that I'll miss the boat when I read your latest report on the status of the lines. Tell 'em to keep tweaking a little longer!!
Best regards,
