SB, I really wonder if it's ever going to change. AAPL still gets decent service ratings but it's computers are way more expensive, so they can afford it. I had posted on the AAPL thread the other day that I'm now seeing nicely configured 15.6" screen laptops at stores like Fry's for $349. Throw in netbooks and the service costs will never cover any of the meager profits IMO. I know Dell moved business workstation support back to the US some years ago, but I suppose that is a bit higher profit and the corporations probably gave them an earful...

Regards,
John

PS - It's amazing when one looks back, in 2001 I bought a Dell workstation for trading that had a 1GHZ Pentium processor and 256MB of RDRAM. It did have a custom quad monitor Matrox G200 MMS video card, but the price for the box and 4 17" LCDS ($1100 each back then) was over 7K. Now I can buy way more power AND new LCD's for around $1700!
