"I spent my career in the computer industry." I also spent quite a bit of time in the industry before quitting to try and make it as a trader. Started in the '70's on Four Phase and DEC PDP-11/70 equipment, and ended up debugging complex mainframe OS problems at IBM for many years. Basically, we were an entire building of highly trained software engineers providing high end tech support, but this was light years removed from the PC world. Here, businesses like Walmart and Visa run their operations on these machines even today, and with price tags in the millions the support is there. As far as PC support today, the big thing that could be done would be on the Microsoft end - make the OS more like AAPL's. That would help with one of the big problems today - malware. Although WIN7 is getting pretty good reviews, it's still based on Vista, so it doesn't appear that major changes are coming...

Regards,
John
