Mark, in other words can Grandma drive a Vespa on the same roads with you and me and our Harleys? I honestly don't know how that would work. If the two modems serve as toll booths beyond which it doesn't matter which modulation you use, then perhaps it's possible. Looking at the diagram on the Sourcecom/Amati brochure, it appears to be the routers that determine the final connections at *both* ends. Now whether a Telco or ISP would/could mix and match I haven't a clue. On a slightly different note, I'd be willing to bet Grandma won't like it when her Vespa sputters and coughs and slows to a crawl every time Grandpa turns on the airconditioner or uses his Sawzall or handy-dandy electric screwdriver. When the price difference is no longer a factor, how long till Granny switches?
