Ah, perspective. There is a political nest at which social security is "extreme lefty" stuff; at which Medicare is "extreme lefty" stiff"; and so on.

And there is a political nest (British politics, say) from which something, oh, just off the top of the head, like single payer systems are right wing because doctors are not salaried employees of various state agencies.

And then there's the "real stuff" of which Wharfie and I indulge. Says there is absolutely no serious lefty stuff in the US right now. None. Zip. Just four guys/gals in a phone booth on the upper west side in Manhattan. Well, four more in another phone booth in Berkeley. And four more in yet another phone booth in Cambridge. And yet four more in another phone booth in Madison. Well, you get the point.

No movement. Zip. Nada.
