Yes, SHY's MHR is 6 month restricted stock. So if you do not wish to hold MHR for long term (and/or desire liquidity), then purchasing SHY.v will not work. There are no restrictions after 6 months but SHY (i.e. Bob Lamond) has stated it plans on being long term holder of MHR stock.

SHY is essentially operating now without any employees, so adminstrative/overhead expense will be very low after this quarter (i.e. after paying for the legal expenses of MHR and Parkman sales.) SHY is non-operator of its Canadian properties, so will essentially be depositing royalty and working interest checks and paying JIBs.

Bottom line: At a 30% NAV discount, SHY is a viable way to own MHR if you are a long term investor BUT SHY is a terrible way to own MHR if you desire liquidity.
