Attack the supply line is the strategy: The US military has dismissed the attacks in Peshawar and Khyber as inconsequential, but the growing Taliban insurgency in the Northwest Frontier Province, coupled with the assault on the supply lines, has forced NATO to seek alternative supply routes into Afghanistan.

moonofalabama.org yellow line is the ring road that connects the major cities of Afghanistan. The blue lines are the eastern supply lines from Karachi through Pakistan. The green lines are he roads from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan and the pink routes, so far officially unused (but suspects) for U.S. supplies, are from Iran.
