It's not us that have to be convinced one way or the other; for me, the bombastic ass dimension is more than enough to keep me away from that whole crowd on the right or the left. The most I ever see now is a few minutes of MSNBC in the evening when a network program I am watching for entertainment is on commercial. Even then, I'm equally likely to go to Bloomberg for their Asian market coverage instead.

But it's the other NFL owners, players and sportswriters that shape the pro football world. That's a few thousand people from all kinds of racial, regional and political POVs, not a pure liberal bastion like Hollywood or Manhattan.

They made their decision and acted. That's how the business world works. Some folks may not think it's fair, but that's true about lots of things in life. And it may have been exactly the right decision.

I doubt there will ever be agreement on the issue between Rush fans and those who loathe him in general. The comical part is those who think this means Rush is a big "threat" to those who dislike him. There's a big difference between an obnoxious asshole that people avoid and a genuine political force.

Odds are, Rush could never get elected to anything in any district that he would choose to live in.
