Global warming due to pollution of the atmosphere with heat inhibiting gasses (including SO2 and CO2) is an historical fact and over time it destroyed many life forms on earth - humans are only a short time / small life form in the history of our earth, but with the most devastating effects on earth resources and human activities are thousand times more devastating effects on earth ecology, than those life forms before modern humans started evolving. Measuring human effects over a 1,000 year period is silly over THEN million years makes more sense if we will survive as a life form for so long
